Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining the Community and nursing service philosophies through quality nursing associate audits and in-service educational resources.
  • Maintain Infection Control protocols and procedures.
  • Administer medication and treatment, and complete documentation for residents in their care, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with IDPH, CDC, and Cook County guidelines.
  • Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of in-service education.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (once every 5/6 weeks).
  • Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Infection Control.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred, but not required.
  • Current nursing license for the state of Illinois.
  • CPR certified.
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population.
