The individual will obtain and analyze sales data information and accurately plat legal descriptions for sales and subject properties.Essential Functions: * Researches courthouse records in an assigned territory for farm and rural home sales. * Organizes appraisal files and/or compiles sales data into the enterprise database. * Understands assessors" property identification number system; * Binds and proof reads reports for publication to ensure the appraisal report is accurate, grammatically correct, and free of misspelled words. * Assists with Range of Value analysis and input. * Reads and understands legal descriptions and units of land measurement to accurately identify the sale or subject property under consideration. * Reads plat books and aerial photographs to locate each sale in the correct township, section, and location within that section. * Estimates land area by soil type for sales and subject properties.Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * High school diploma required, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. * One or more years of appraisal experience, or other related experience. * Valid driver"s license. * Skill in using Microsoft technologies including e-mail, word and spreadsheet processing. * Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers and leaders. * Knowledge of client service principles and practices. * Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers. * Skill in maintaining confidential information. * Strong organization skill set. * Detail oriented.
