Hotel Bartender

The Hotel Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to hotel guests and patrons, delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong knowledge of mixology, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. The bartender also ensures that the bar area is clean, organized, and meets hotel and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drink Preparation and Service: Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes and hotel-specific guidelines.
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, take beverage orders, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock to prevent shortages.
- Cash Handling and Payment Processing: Handle guest payments, including cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to hotel policies and legal regulations regarding serving alcohol and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Bar Maintenance: Clean bar area, tools, and equipment. Set up and breakdown the bar before and after shifts, ensuring all items are stocked and the area is tidy.
- Promotions and Events: Support hotel events and promotions by creating special cocktails, recommending pairings, and promoting seasonal offerings.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in bartending preferred.
- Proven experience as a bartender in a hotel, restaurant, or bar setting.
- Knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a positive demeanor under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of state and local alcohol serving laws.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously during the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
The position operates in a hotel bar/lounge setting, interacting with guests in a high-energy, hospitality-focused atmosphere.
