(Process may require assembly and maintenance of some instruments for proper cleaning and sterilization).Ensures proper sterile conditions, orders supplies, stocks, and maintains storage areas in the Operating Room for service.Assists in transporting patients and room turnover.Assists RN in maintaining a safe environment for the terfaces daily with physicians, staff, vendor sales representatives, sterile processing, and storeroom as a necessary part of routine activities.Ensures proper storage and utilization of service equipment.Ensures service specific supply expiration dates are checked monthly.Coordinates and documents equipment repairs and loaner returns.Works as a liaison to educate staff in the proper use and functioning of equipment.Other duties as assigned.Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required, Sterile processing certification preferred.Work Experience:Position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds ad ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing up to 200 pounds.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.Salaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
