We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:To provide quality care including assisting the RNs and Physicians in Endo procedures, to disinfect, maintain & troubleshoot equipment, assist with clerical duties and transport patients.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Demonstrates knowledge and application of basic patient care, to include activities of daily living, vital signs and intake and output.Participates in the unit based Quality Improvement process.Practices, endorses and provides customer service skills to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.Demonstrates knowledge and respect of patient right to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.Organizes and communicates patient care activities to the patient and to the Registered Nurse.Perform all work related specialized tasks safely, proficiently and within department and hospital policy/procedures.Other duties as assigned.What qualifications you will need:EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)PREFERREDHigh School or equivalency,CNA certification.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (list required and preferred separately)REQUIREDCurrent BCLS certification required.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)PREFERREDEndoscopy and Nursing Assistant experienceSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:PREFERREDReads and writes basic EnglishAbility to move in excess of 100 pounds, with assistance from other staff.Knowledge of body substance isolationAbility to listen empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs.Del Sol Medical Centeris a full service, acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas. We have a Level II trauma designation. This facility has 300+ patient beds.
