Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervise and direct the work of technicians to ensure proper scope of work Coordinate with the project manager to ensure project design and deadlines are met.
  • Read and decipher blueprints and schematics.
  • Use basic hand and power tools properly and safely.
  • Ensure technicians adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and use of proper PPE gear.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Quickly process information, prioritize job tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Pull wire and cable, solder and terminate wires and cables.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within the team.
  • Report on-site risks and any other issues that need immediate attention to the Project Manager to ensure efficient, timely resolution in compliance with project time-line and budget parameters.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests for project security clearance.
  • Must be able to travel to job sites throughout the country.
  • Perform work from elevated heights and lift heavy equipment.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as a team lead, direct and supervise the work of others.
  • The ability to pass a DOT physical to obtain a commercial driver’s medical certificate.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the installation of A/V/L systems.
  • Considerable knowledge of low voltage electronics and basic construction skills.
  • The ability to travel.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds.


Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalence; and two years of experience in commercial installation of audio, video and lighting integrated systems; or any combination of training and experience which enables the candidate to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.


Physical demands and work environment:

  • Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, climb and balance.
  • Work requires ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment.
  • Work requires ability to lift fifty pounds on a daily basis and be exposed to warm and cold environments.
