We are seeking a Director of People Operations to drive our people strategy and execution across the organization. As the Director of People Operations you will lead the People Ops strategy, oversee our team, systems, and processes that shape every stage of the employee experience—from hiring and development to engagement, performance, and retention. You will report to the CFO, serving as both a strategic business partner and hands‑on leader. Compensation: $165,000 base salary, company bonus, and equity. Responsibilities Collaborate with hiring managers to define job profiles, interview processes, and scorecards, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Design and implement a cohesive people strategy aligned with company goals. Manage and mentor the People Ops Generalist, providing guidance and growth opportunities. Oversee recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits, and compliance. Partner with the CFO on compensation reviews, budgeting, and benchmarking to ensure pay equity and competitiveness. Lead employee engagement and retention programs, using data and feedback to drive action. Develop and execute learning, leadership, and professional development initiatives. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and advise leaders on HR best practices. Own company culture programs including DE&I, wellness, and recognition. Serve as a trusted advisor for employee relations, coaching leaders through challenges with empathy and accountability. Optimize and maintain our existing HR systems (Rippling, Greenhouse, and LinkedIn) to ensure efficient workflows, data accuracy, and seamless automation across People Ops processes. Track People Ops KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership on key metrics (turnover, engagement, time‑to‑fill, etc.). Qualifications 6+ years of progressive HR or People Ops experience; at least 2 years leading a team. Experience building or scaling HR operations in a high‑growth or post‑merger environment. Hands‑on experience with Rippling and Greenhouse (or similar systems) to manage the full employee lifecycle. Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, and modern HR best practices. Strong business acumen and the ability to align people initiatives to company objectives. Empathetic leader and skilled communicator who builds trust across all levels. Passionate about data, systems, and structure to drive results. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. What We Offer Equity participation.
