About the Role
We are expanding and creating a new role to support the natural growth and maturation of our team. The Ecommerce Retention Marketing Specialist will serve as a strategic client partner, coordinating the strategy and end-to-end execution of data-driven retention marketing strategies to drive customer loyalty for our client base.
This role is perfect for someone who loves building relationships and being a trusted advisor with leading retail brands, diving deep into data to uncover consumer insights, thinking outside the box with creative marketing strategies, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an extension of our client's teams, building strong relationships and providing expert guidance on retention marketing best practices.
- Collaborate with internal, client, and third party stakeholders cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive retention strategies across email, SMS, and on-site personalization, personally leveraging a deep understanding of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing.
- Analyze campaign performance, extract actionable insights from data, and present findings in a clear and compelling manner to clients.
- Coordinate closely with internal cross-functional teams (design, development, strategy) to ensure seamless campaign execution and an exceptional client experience.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the ever-evolving landscape of ecommerce and retention marketing.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of proven experience in ecommerce retention or lifecycle marketing.
- Expertise in marketing automation platforms, particularly Klaviyo, and CDPs (e.g., Bloomreach).
- Experience working with project management tools like, Jira/ Confluence.
- Expertise with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Elevar.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management abilities.
- Passion for ecommerce and driving customer loyalty.
- Ability to act as a trusted advisor and consultant to clients.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Client Partnership - this means understanding our clients deeply, anticipating their needs, and proactively problem solving.
- Strategic Marketing Expertise - this means owning the end-to-end strategy and execution of lifecycle marketing initiatives - including email, sms, on-site personalization, and loyalty development.
- Data Analysis - the means analyzing micro and macro campaign and strategic initiatives. Going beyond vanity metrics and uncovering the “why” behind the numbers.
- Platform Proficiency - this mean being a master of certain technology platforms such as Klaviyo, Bloomreach, Google Analytics and basic knowledge of popular ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Adobe, Salesforce.
Travel
- This role will require up to 5% travel to on-site client meetings, industry trade-shows, and IM Digital marketing events. All travel will be in the contiguous USA with a focus on NYC, Chicago, LA.
