Our team offers competitive advice and support by evaluating the risk/return considerations in all stages of the deal continuum. What You’ll DoThe ODD Director in the Mergers, Integrations, & Carve-Outs (MICO) Practice will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including our clients, internal project teams and 3rd party contractors (as needed) across the entire deal life cycle in domestic and global companies across industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, cross-functional expertise including, but not limited to:Develop due diligence and other end-end M&A lifecycle processes across various engagements, and work directly with clients and FTI Consulting leadershipLead multiple end-to-end projects, including but not limited to: Full-scope ODDs focusing on broad workstream scopes (e.g., Finance & Accounting, HR, IT, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain / Procurement, and other SG&A functions, as required) Broad industry coverage across service and product industries (e.g., Industrials, Healthcare, TMT, Chemicals, others)Uncover operational due diligence (ODD) EBITDA improvement opportunities with buy- or sell-side private equity or corporate clients Lead execution of diligence assessments through in-depth data analysis, modeling, identification of problem statements and development of optimal solutions resulting in a meaningful synthesis of the takeaways for the client / FTI Consulting internal leadershipProvide qualitative outputs for the client / FTI Consulting internal leadership in terms of impact towards the deal progress and raising key red flags that may impact the dealSupport pre-sign diligence engagements into a post-sign integration or buy- or sell-side carve-out for knowledge continuity and planning and execution of full value capture for our clientsEvaluate and validate EBITDA improvement opportunities and cost-to-achieve estimates by rapidly absorbing and analyzing data, and synthesizing hypotheses that result in growing the top line or reducing cost.
