Our services include a state-of-the-art psychiatric urgent care center and a soon-to-be-built pediatric behavioral health center, outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization (day programs), assessment and testing, residential, addiction treatment and specialty services such as crisis response, employee assistance programs, forensic psychiatry and psychology, and neuromodulation. On-the-job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains are equipping the next generation of care providers.

Position Summary:

The Behavior Analyst is a key associate at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services whose primary responsibilities are the development, coordination, and implementation of Behavior Support Plans. Trains residential care providers on other evidence-based behavioral interventions and guardians on general behavior management. Provide a supportive and behaviorally driven environment for the residential and staff that they work with. The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst must demonstrate excellent customer service and have enthusiasm about the program and the Pine Rest organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education, and assessment of behavioral needs of the residents and patients in the programs or the hospital.
• Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team in various residential and hospital programs.
• Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments on an annual basis and upon admission to residential programs for contracted residents.
• Develops individualized goals and objectives for residential-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
• Attends consultation meetings and writes Behavior Support Plans for patients in the hospital referred for services.
• Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
• Teaches residential staff on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
• Designs, implements, and monitors behavior programs for residents and oversees the implementation of behavior programs by residential staff.
• Complete all clinical documentation and billing via electronic clinical record (ECR) in a thorough, efficient, and timely manner, in compliance with internal and external quality and regulatory requirements.
• Input, graph, and analyze behavioral data in Microsoft Excel.
• Complete written reviews of behavior plan progress, presenting them to the Behavior Plan Review Committees or other contracted funding auspice, as applicable.
• Adhere to ethical standards in BCBA code of ethics.
• Conducts professional development on training behavior management, progress monitoring, data collection techniques, social skills, or other targeted needs.
• Familiarizes self with most recent research/practice in applied behavior analysis.
• Responsible to uphold the healing ministry of Christ through relationships that honor integrity, stewardship, empowerment, the promotion of diversity and professional excellence.
• Must maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training.
• Performs other duties or functions as assigned.

Required/Desired Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
• Master’s degree required in behavior analysis-related program, such as psychology or education.
• Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required (must provide credentialing information)
• Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) through the state of Michigan (must provide proof of licensure)
• Two years of experience as behavior analyst or a related field.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other business software packages.
• Experience working with adults with severe mental health conditions preferred
