HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

Provide administrative and clinical leadership for cardiology services and daily operations. Plan, coordinate and manage personnel and resources to provide the highest quality patient care and community education with trained, professional, and competent staff in the most cost-effective manner. Collaborate with physicians and other health care disciplines to assure optimal patient care. Develop Associates to their fullest potential by focusing on education and mentoring plans with to achieve optimal retention and succession planning outcomes. This manager is responsible to foster the Advocate philosophy through the following six key result areas and to achieve outcomes defined for each area.


Clinical Outcomes – Planning, management, implementation, and evaluation to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.


Funding Our Future – Preparation and administration of budgets to ensure adequate personnel, facilities, and supplies.


Patient Satisfaction – Drives customer satisfaction (Patient, Physicians) strategies for the scope of responsibility and ensures alignment with IMMC and Advocate Strategic Vision.


Associate Satisfaction – Responsible for the selection, development, motivation, and evaluation of staff


Growth – Builds a departmental reputation and maintains patient care area on the cutting edge of performance and quality via input into implementation of strategic partnership with Clinical and Medical Directors.


Physician Relations – Maintenance of effective working relationships with internal and external customers.



WHAT YOU WILL NEED:


Licensure

Nurse, Registered (RN) or Radiologic Technology (RT)


Education/Experience Required

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology.


Current license in State of Illinois Required

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registration (RCIS) issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification issued by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), or Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) certification issued by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), or Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.


Experience Required

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in catheterization, EP or interventional radiology within a large, high-volume environment that includes advanced training in cardiovascular anatomy, ECG, basic cardiac life support, and/or special vascular angiographic procedures, both diagnostic and interventional.
  • Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in managing staff and budgets.

**Compensation is based on applicable years of experience: Mid-Pt $125,008.00. Relocation package available.
