Position DetailsTilson is seeking CDL Class A Laborers who are responsible for aiding daily operations at our construction sites. This position will operate various types of Tilson vehicles including 1 ½, 2- and 5-ton pickups as well as hydrovac trucks. Candidate will be driving 10-15 percent of the workday depending on the daily needs determined by workload and task. Tilson drivers are required to assist with various other tasks while not driving included but not limited to help hydro excavate, backfill holes, restoration and install various other fiber products. They will load and unload tools, raw materials, or pieces of equipment and dig or fill in pits throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate will be safety focused, customer and quality oriented, with a strong work ethic and a positive, CAN-DO attitude.Perform daily vehicle inspections for DOT complianceEnsure safety of Tilson employees and public safety while operating Tilson vehiclesResponsible for load securement to comply with federal, state, and local requirementsEnsure proper maintenance is being followedUse pull-behind hydro-vac to safety hydro excavate utilitiesMust have valid CDL A, tanker endorsement preferredOur hard surface restoration crew will support and work hand in hand with our underground construction crews to restore/remove/replace damaged sidewalk panels, concrete driveways, asphalt roadways and other similar hard surface work in residential and commercial neighborhoods where the company does work. Tilson is seeking applicants who have skills in performing concrete laboring in flat work, asphalt repair and concrete restoration of sidewalks, curbs, and other similar structures. Preferred candidates will have experience in setting and stripping forms, mixing, pouring, and raking concrete, tying, and cutting rebar, hand finishing, cutting expansion joints, general laboring, and materials handling.Responsibilities:Performs hard surface restoration such as concrete and asphalt finishing workKnowledge of hard surface demolition, repair, restoration, and replacement of hard surfaces such as sidewalk panels, roadways, etc.Knowledge of multiple methods of concrete and asphalt repair and restoration workKnowledge of mixing of concrete and concrete additivesWork with hot and cold mix asphaltWork with slurryManage materialsJob planningMaintain safety policies and proceduresOther duties may be assigned consistent with job descriptionQualifications:Experience with concrete restoration requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredOSHA 10 preferredValid US Driver's licenseAble to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely mannerMust be able to wear and work in a 1/2 face respirator when necessaryKnowledge of hand tools such as sledgehammers, trowels, concrete saws, and jackhammersMust be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson's driving eligibility requirements.Tilson offers a comprehensive benefits package with a focus on choice, health, wellness, and financial security.
