Position Summary
The Engineering Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our GFRC manufacturing products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background combined with project management, and estimating/quoting expertise, enabling them to drive projects from conception to completion while ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelines.
Essential Functions
Project Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for GFRC manufacturing projects
- Estimating/Quoting: Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for new projects based on client requirements and specifications. Analyze project costs, resources, and timelines to ensure competitive and profitable bidding
- Engineering: Design and develop new products, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication across all levels
- Technical Oversight: Provide engineering expertise in the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control processes to guarantee the integrity of the products throughout production
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, providing regular updates and managing expectations
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timelines and budgets
- Budget Management: Track project expenses, forecast budget needs, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend innovative solutions. Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or a related field) or equivalent experience
- 3+ Years of Solid Works or similar CAD experience, preferred
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the manufacturing sector, preferably with GFRC or similar materials
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and quality standards
- Proficiency in creating shop routings and generating print packets with accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Experience in quoting jobs and analyzing profitability to ensure project viability
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
