Sr. Director- Alumni Relations at University of Houston Department: Alumni Relations | Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education Description Provides leadership and daily oversight of an integrated program encompassing a complex center or multiple departments at the University. Oversees budget administration, allocation of resources, projects, and supervision of staff. Responsibilities include: Develops, implements, and directs a comprehensive program for a complex center or multiple departments. Collaborates with the leadership team to establish priorities for departments. Develops and manages budgets, staffing plans, and departmental goals in alignment with the division's strategies. Establishes performance metrics and leads efforts to monitor departmental activities. Represents department to internal and external constituents. Creates or reviews policies and processes and implements improvements. Hires and directs the activities of staff, identifying the department goals and ensuring all are met. Performs other job-related duties as required. MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job‑related 4‑year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in‑depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job‑related experience. Additional Duties - Sr. Director, Alumni Relations Reporting to UH AVP for Alumni Relations Day to Day Operations of Staff – 4 positions UHAA Budget Cougar 100 Program Cougar Business Network Program CASE Alumni Metrics - Annual program data UHAA Revenue Generation Programs - Corporate Sponsorships for UHAA programs Annual Alumni Survey - Reporting of Data post‑survey Five Year UHAA Strategic Plan Daily Collaborations With UA Staff Regarding Communications of UHAA programs to UA Comms Team UH College staff regarding Alumni Relations programming Commencement Activities Student to Alumni programming (Senior Decal Drive Thru, Ring Ceremony, Orientation) Monthly Newsletters content Annual Magazines Content Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.
