About the Position

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis functions within the organization. This role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, creating financial statements, analyzing profit margins, forecasting future financial performance, and scenario planning to prepare for various business outcomes as well as providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The FP&A Manager will collaborate with various departments to drive financial performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals as well as escalate any financial issues to management, set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.

About You

5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis. Managerial experience a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience is required.
Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills.
Communicates effectively and has strong presentation skills.
Collaborates well with colleagues using strong interpersonal skills.
Works independently using project management skills.
Builds strong working relationships.
Learns quickly and has strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (NetSuite preferred).
Experience with business intelligence tools preferred e.g. Power BI or Tableau.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections. Creates and works with dashboards.
Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs). Assist with preparing a quarterly board deck for the board of directors meeting.
Strategic Planning: Partner with business units to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives, including new projects, investments, and cost-saving measures.
Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to assess business scenarios, investments, and operational changes.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies, maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Marketing, Sales) to align financial goals and initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and partnering.
Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide analytical support for special projects and strategic initiatives as required.

Pay & Benefits

Score Sports offers competitive pay and benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K.

Salary range is $90,000 to $125,000 depending on experience.
