Company Overview:
Our Client is a middle market consumer products company based in Torrance, CA. This role will provide crucial financial insights and support the VP of Finance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in consumer products finance and a strong background in forecasting, trend analysis, and KPI development.
This is a contract role for 3 months, with potential to extend. This role is on-site 3 days per week, and 2 remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to prepare accurate financial forecasts, evaluate market trends, and provide insights to guide strategic business decisions.
- Conduct monthly budget-to-actual analyses, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to improve performance.
- Perform in-depth analyses of sales productivity to optimize sales team performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Track and report on core inventory metrics to ensure inventory optimization and alignment with company goals.
- Develop and monitor operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, summarizing financial performance and key trends for leadership and stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of ad hoc analyses and presentations for senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in the consumer products industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information and insights to stakeholders.
