We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist - RNAi Formulations and Biophysics - to join our GNAT Research team. This lab-based role focuses on the formulation, biophysical, and analytical characterization of oligonucleotides for systemic delivery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nucleic acid therapeutics and experience collaborating with external CMOs.



Key Responsibilities:

Develop preclinical formulations of conjugated oligonucleotides for systemic delivery.
Apply advanced analytical and biophysical characterization techniques for oligonucleotide formulations.
Translate findings to preclinical and clinical studies in a high-throughput automated manner.
Identify and address gaps in technological capabilities to guide the research agenda.
Optimize long-term storage and stability conditions for RNAi conjugates.
Develop robust analytical methods for QC and developability assessments.
Manage multiple external collaborations, ensuring timely deliverables.
Communicate findings through presentations and written reports.
Establish screening assays for early discovery of oligonucleotides.
Employ high-throughput screening methods such as DoE for optimizing formulations.



Qualifications:

Level I: Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Level II: PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on expertise in synthesis, characterization, and purification techniques such as NMR, HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, IR, and chromatography.
Analytical method development for solubility, viscosity, degradation, and rheological assessment of complex oligonucleotides.
Familiarity with automation and high-throughput screening methods is a plus.
Deep understanding of trends and advances in RNA delivery and clinical translation.
Proven track record of publications in high-quality journals on relevant topics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary research environment with tight deadlines.



Top Three Must-Haves:

Lab Experience: Expertise in formulation of siRNA or oligonucleotides for systemic delivery.
Analytical Skills: Hands-on experience with analytical characterization of oligonucleotides.
Project Management: Proven ability to collaborate with and manage external CMOs.



Compensation:

The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
