About The Team Our US Marketplace team is responsible for growing the DoorDash business in the US, helping customers to discover & order what’s best in their city, merchants to grow their sales, and dashers to find flexible work. About The Role The US Marketplace team is looking for a motivated and hands‑on operator to be the Director of Marketplace Growth. As a Strategy & Operations Director, you’ll scope, launch, scale, and operate the next generation of DoorDash products and channels to drive new marketplace growth. You will report into the Growth and Markets team, leading cross‑functional collaboration between DoorDash’s product, marketing, finance, and analytics teams to deliver new products that drive marketplace growth. You'll have the opportunity to help define new bets, incubate 0‑1 experiments, scope partnership opportunities, and execute on a roadmap to grow the marketplace for focus audiences and other marketplace bets. Key Responsibilities Experiment – run tests and scale insights. Embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and no right answer. Build – explore growth opportunities alongside our partners in Product, Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations teams. Analyze – shape and define our strategy based on quantitative and qualitative data. Operate – figure out how to get from A to B—and then actually make it happen. Influence – work cross‑functionally across the US Marketplace Organization to help craft roadmaps, secure investment, and partner with other organizations to improve the new user experience. Grow – help the business get 1% better every day. Key Qualifications 10+ years of experience in strategy & operations or other operating roles; high‑growth startup experience is advantageous. 5+ years of people management experience. Experience leading cross‑functional projects and hitting goals. Comfortable running analysis and manipulating datasets; SQL experience is strongly preferred. A passion for improving and shaping the direction of the company. Ability to motivate people at all levels across the organization. Skill translating high‑level goals into relevant plans. Love getting to a low level of detail. Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future. $197,200 – $290,000 USD In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Paid Time Off Details For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g., about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g., about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
