OverviewChief Psychiatrist, Correctional and Rehabilitative Services (Safety) - California Correctional Institution (CCI).Under the administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer, and the clinical direction of the Headquarters Chief Psychiatrist and Regional Mental Health Director, the Chief Psychiatrist will supervise employees in the classification of Staff Psychiatrist. The Chief Psychiatrist will oversee psychiatric care in the institution, which includes developing and implementing psychiatric program services, recruiting and training psychiatric staff, providing psychiatric intervention, maintaining a quality management program for psychiatry, and consulting as part of the interdisciplinary treatment teams.Compensation and Benefits (highlights)Base pay range information is provided by California Correctional Health Care Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Additional pay considerations may include: a pay differential for direct patient care (15% of monthly base pay for eligible employees in direct in-person care on grounds or at a facility, effective July 1, 2023), a recruitment and retention stipend and differential opportunities, and a potential referral bonus for CDCR/CCHCS employees if certain criteria are met. All salary details reflect changes that may occur with program updates such as PLP 2025, which reduces base salary by 4.62% with corresponding leave credits for eligible staff (full-time and prorated for part-time).Note: Main communication for this position will be through email.
