Position Overview Staff Psychiatrist, Correctional Facility (SAFETY) Hourly rate: $169.49–$174.40 Term: Limited Term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent. Eligibility includes all clinical social workers currently employed by the State, provided the additional appointment is a distinct role, not a supervisor, manager, or executive. Up to 40 hours per month in a part‑time capacity is allowed. Onsite dual appointments may be available. Employment Conditions Time worked is not considered overtime. Time worked will be outside your normal hours. The dates and hours of work will be determined by the hiring location. Special Requirements Please do not include any confidential information in your application documents. Exclude Social Security Number, birthdate, student ID, driver’s license number (unless required), eligibility basis, exam results, LEAP status, marital status, and age. These items will be redacted automatically if included. Minimum Qualifications (MQ) Possession of MQ will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you meet MQ with education, provide unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. If you do not meet MQ, you will be withheld from the eligibility list and rendered ineligible to be hired. Foreign Credentials Applicants with education outside the US must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency. Foreign credential evaluation services are available. Background and Health Screening New applicants are required to undergo Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment, followed by annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.
