About the Role: HVAC Maintenance, Service and Sales

We are seeking a highly motivated HVAC Maintenance Technician Trainee to join our team in the Construction industry. As an HVAC Maintenance Technician Trainee, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales and customer service while learning the ins and outs of HVAC maintenance. You will work closely with our experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field. Your ultimate goal will be to provide top-notch service to our clients and ensure their satisfaction with our services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems
  • There is a SALES aspect to this role – Hourly + Commission
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect, repair, and conduct maintenance on furnaces, coils, condenser units etc.
  • Demonstrate respect, compassion and integrity when communicating with clients
  • Ability to communicate recommendations and services
  • Demonstrate ability to perform tasks promptly in accordance with Service Champions quality and safety standards
  • Ability to demonstrate punctuality
  • Participate in weekly meetings for continuing training and development
CUSTOMER SERVICE/SALES JOB DUTIES:
  • Comfortable with sales metrics and meeting sales goals.
  • Hourly + commission pay structure.
  • Able to communicate with customers and describe findings.
  • Overcome objections.
  • Present options to customers – finding the right products for their needs.
  • Sell products and services with integrity.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with a high degree of integrity and promote a positive company image
  • Analytical, focused on quality, and results-driven
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business
  • Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
  • Proficiency with mobile devices (e.g. tablets, smartphones and/or other devices as required)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75lbs
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
  • Moderate exposure to physical risk
  • Work is performed in residential properties which may include attics, garages, crawl spaces and roof tops
