Position Overview The Sales Director – Federal Civilian & Law Enforcement (TS Cleared) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the U.S. Federal Civilian and Federal Law Enforcement sectors. This role will focus on engaging agencies such as DHS, DOJ, FBI, CBP, ICE, TSA, Treasury, DOE, and other mission-critical departments that require secure, scalable data analytics and AI-driven insights to support investigative, operational, and compliance missions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience selling enterprise data platforms, AI/ML, or advanced analytics solutions into the federal government, with strong familiarity across acquisition frameworks, mission operations, and compliance environments. Key Responsibilities Build and manage trusted relationships across Federal Civilian and Law Enforcement agencies, including DHS, DOJ, FBI, CBP, ICE, TSA, Treasury, and related entities. Lead the full sales cycle for Ocient’s hyperscale analytics and secure data warehouse solutions, from opportunity development through contract execution. Develop strategic account and territory plans aligned with the Ocient Federal growth strategy, targeting mission-driven modernization and data transformation initiatives. Identify, qualify, and close opportunities through direct engagement, teaming partners, and system integrators. Collaborate with federal system integrators, OEMs, and cloud partners to deliver compliant, scalable, and secure data solutions tailored to law enforcement and civil agency use cases. Partner with Sales Engineering, Product Management, and Ocient Federal leadership to shape solutions and messaging around agency-specific mission outcomes. Drive pipeline development through direct sales and partner channels; provide accurate forecasting using MEDDPICC or equivalent methodology. Navigate federal procurement and contracting mechanisms including GSA Schedules, GWACs, IDIQs, and BPA vehicles. Represent Ocient at federal and law enforcement industry events, conferences, and forums. Ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations including FedRAMP, FISMA, CJIS, and other applicable standards. Qualifications Active U.S. Top Secret clearance required. 10+ years of enterprise sales experience within Federal Civilian or Federal Law Enforcement markets. Proven record of success selling complex enterprise software, data analytics, hyperscale storage, or AI/ML platforms to U.S. government agencies. Strong familiarity with federal procurement and contracting processes, including working with systems integrators and OEM partners. Experience managing long-cycle, multi-stakeholder federal sales processes. Demonstrated success exceeding quota in high-growth or emerging technology companies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technology in mission-relevant terms. Background in start-up or high-growth technology environments preferred. Ideal Experience Established relationships with program and contracting officers within DHS, DOJ, FBI, CBP, ICE, TSA, or Treasury. Experience delivering solutions into classified or air-gapped environments supporting investigative or operational missions. Familiarity with fraud, investigative analytics, or law enforcement intelligence workflows. Technical fluency in distributed data systems, hyperscale compute, and AI-driven analytics. Trusted advisor experience with CTOs, CIOs, and mission program leads.
