Work Environment at EXP You will be part of the Environmental team within the Energy Services Sector, collaborating on projects across the North American energy landscape. What a Day at EXP Has in Store for You Manage environmental permitting, regulatory strategy development, field surveys, and construction compliance for energy-related projects—including oil & gas exploration, upstream developments, pipelines, and downstream facilities. Develop and maintain project environmental procedures manuals for compliance assurance throughout project lifecycles. Prepare and execute permitting applications involving FERC, EPA, USACE, USFWS, BLM, SHPO, and other state/local agencies. Oversee procurement and execution of subcontractor services, including wetland delineations, habitat characterization, cultural resource surveys, land‑use mapping, vegetation classification, GPS data collection, and report preparation with USACE, USFWS, and state/local partners. Ensure environmental assessment documents meet NEPA, FERC, and other applicable regulations. Lead documentation and assessment preparations for Section 106 NHPA and Section 7 ESA consultations. Identify and grow project opportunities with existing clients and develop new business relationships. Prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates for new and existing contracts. What Your Experience Looks Like Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences, environmental sciences, geology, or a related field with at least 15 years of experience managing permitting, environmental and cultural resource consulting, or NEPA documentation for large infrastructure, including oil & gas projects. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook. Advanced knowledge of permitting and compliance regulations from FERC, EPA, USACE, BLM, USFWS, and state/local agencies. Experience with business development practices and client relationship management. Understanding of project planning, development, and evaluation within environmental and energy services. Project management principles and practices. Knowledge of RFPs, bids, and tendering processes. Ability to review project work for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and cost estimates. Strong verbal and written communication, including technical writing. Capacity to maintain effective working relationships, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Detail‑oriented data compilation, review, and reconciliation to ensure compliance. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials.
