Position: Operations Manager


Expectation of a zero-harm work environment ensuring all HSE policies and procedures are within compliance including OSHA (regional specific), customer requirements, and internal requirements. Manage HSE programs and systems as the regional HSE representative both internally and customer facing. Manage operational cost center. Manage and control inventory. Run success and data quality output is expected to be industry leading. Build customer relationships through understanding operational expectations and execution to meet and/or exceed those expectations. Drive quality investigations and improvement through regional Operations team. API 1163, ASNT ILI-PQ, and POF compliance. Operational business planning including costs, equipment, ILI Tools, Opex, Capex, and personnel requirements. Staffing of regional Operation personnel including Superintendents, Field Technicians, Mechanics, Coordinators, etc. Financial management of regional Operation profit centers and cost centers. Ensure capacity to meet Strategic Growth needs and commitment to Customers’ expectations. Lead and mentor cross-functional collaboration, communication, and personal development of the operation personnel. Lead, inspire, and motivate Operations team to meet aggressive run schedule while maintaining safety and exceeding customer expectation. Directly responsible for scheduling of Operations Crews, ILI tools, and support equipment. Supervise ILI field and shop activity ensuring compliance to HSE and Quality procedures, on time delivery, and Operational Standards. Supervise the repair, maintenance, and upgrades to ILI tools and support equipment. Manage inventory to correct on hand levels and minimal variance. Manage logistics for on-time delivery and cost control. Support Sales, Marketing and New Product development efforts. Provide constructive feedback on ILI Tools and Support equipment to Engineering enabling continuous improvement and increased reliability. Lead continuous improvement projects throughout the Operations organization with an end goal of improving customer experience. Supervise approximately 19 subordinate employees with titles such as Operations Supervisor, Repair and Maintenance Supervisor, Superintendents, Scheduling Coordinators, Gauge Tool Coordinator, Field Technicians.


This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of related pipeline operations experience. In the alternative, the company will accept 7 years of related pipeline operations experience. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: (1) Completing ILI projects and participating in quality investigations, continuous improvement, and customer relationships in a pipeline inspection setting; (2) Working with OSHA, industry, and customer safety regulations and training requirements; (3) ILI mechanical and electronic tool building and testing; and (4) Training and mentoring Field Service Representatives / Technicians. Will accept experience gained concurrently. 10% domestic and international travel required for company meetings. Full-time, position located in Indianapolis, IN.
