Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Technical Support Engineer For our client Royal Vaassen US, Inc. we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer, this position is located in the Chicago area. The company is a global operating supplier and producer of flexible packaging materials as well as coated foil for industrial applications. The company is based in the Netherlands with a growing US client base, mainly in the dairy, food and tobacco industry. They offer high‑quality, innovative packaging and first‑class service. Tasks and Responsibilities Provide technical support at potential customers to enable them to use the materials supplied by RV. Explain the capabilities of RV to potential customers, explain the customer needs to RV. Monitor and manage the progress of tests and qualifications of customer opportunities initiated by RV sales. Raw materials: Translate the specifications needed at RV as well as the quality standards to potential customers/prospects. Applicable machine suppliers used at the customers – build and maintain a relationship on local level and communicate findings. Maintain a close relationship on developments with local RV sales manager as well as all applicable stakeholders within RV. Full member of the product technology team in RV. The candidate will be trained on the capabilities and organization of Royal Vaassen at the factory site in Vaassen, the Netherlands. Profile Fluent in English and Spanish. Educated in Material Science, Chemistry or similar. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in packaging industry in a technical role. Self‑starter and a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Commercial interest and team‑player. Frequent traveling needed (when possible). Strong interest and capabilities to work with various ERP and quality systems. Affinity with processes and systems. Organized and well structured. Strong sense of quality. Problem‑solving ability and practical, hands‑on attitude. Independent worker, taking ownership of projects.
