Batch Processing Operator

Description:Midwest Family Mutual Insurance Company has a part-time position available for a Batch Processing Operator who is responsible for monitoring and responding to daily and month-end cycle processing activity, performing pre-cycle checks/tasks as well as post-cycle checks/tasks.The Cycle Operators role is to perform and record various checklist items pre-cycle processing, during cycle processing and after cycle processing to ensure that all automated tasks occurred as expected and were completed and logged appropriately. This role includes issue identification and communication with designated IT staff if any issue should take place as well as working with that staff member to resolve and resume the cycle processing steps. Additionally, communication post-cycle with designated IT staff is required to confirm completion of activities and report on anything that occurred during the cycle process that is out of the ordinary with any steps taken to resolve.This individual will apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve cycle processing issues, suggest new features/efficiencies as well as interact with key IT staff in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.The work hours are evenings between 9:30 PM to 10:45* PM Central (Sunday through Thursday daily including holidays) and 6:30 PM to 10:45* PM Central (on the last day of the month, regardless of day of the week/holiday). *The end time will vary based upon the cycle activity occurring on a particular day but is typically less than 2 hours each daily cycle and 4 hours each month end cycle (averaging 6 to 9 hours per week).Requirements:Batch Cycle Monitoring & Execution:Perform pre-cycle checks and document resultsCommunicate immediately with designated IT staff when any pre-cycle check does not passMonitor batch cycle processing activity to confirm each step runs as scheduled and designedCommunicate and work with designated IT staff in a timely manner should any cycle processing activity occur in error or as expectedPerform post-cycle checks and document resultsProvide daily communication to designated IT staff summarizing cycle results and any irregularitiesEducation & CertificationCollege degree, AAS degree or Programming Certification completed or in progress1-3 years equivalent work experienceKnowledge & ExperienceProven experience in a similar work environmentUnderstanding of Windows desktop operating systemsHands-on software troubleshooting experienceKnowledge/practical training of applicable data privacy practices and lawsExperience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essentialPersonal AttributesFlexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologiesStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsHighly logicalTechnically proficientHighly self-motivated and directedKeen attention to detailProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentAbility to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentStrong customer service orientationWork ConditionsRemote work from home environmentSitting for extended periods of timeDexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devicesSome travel may be required for the purpose of off-site software training and/or team meetingsPhysically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetingsOccasional lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripheralsPIfe06fbf84bb3-29952-39085371 #True
