Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $17/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

What’s a typical day as a Biology Technician? You’ll be:
• Assisting in planting, inoculating, and evaluating plants to screen for disease resistances
• Maintaining suitable conditions for proper plant growth
• Preparing culture media
• Assisting in lab, headhouse, and greenhouse sanitation practices
• Following safety and stewardship rules
• Standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Working in a sometimes hot greenhouse environment
• Getting dirty due to working with plants and soil

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED (BS Degree preferred)
• Pay attention to detail
• Are able to follow safety and stewardship rules
• Can stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
• Are comfortable working in a sometimes hot greenhouse environment
• Don't mind getting dirty due to working with plants and soil
