About this role:
As an APP in Bariatric Medicine/Surgery youll work with a team of 2 Surgeons and 3 other APPS to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Here are some highlights you can expect.
- You would practice at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado
- Your hours will be Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, no call, no weekends
- This is a full scope position working in the clinic, hospital rounding, and in the OR
- You will see approximately 13-14 patients per day for H&Ps, follow ups, and assisting with new consults, follow-up management and elevate to surgeon as appropriate
- Triage incoming referrals to include pre-charting and discern which provider the patient should see and timing of appointment
- You will also work in the OR ~2 times per week, so first assist experience is needed

What youll bring:
We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program or an accredited School of Nursing
- Unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of Colorado, requiredor able to obtain
- DEA and BLS
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a NP or aPA in a bariatric and/or surgical setting with first assist experience, required
- Ability to educate patients on weight loss/bariatric options highly preferred
