The Store Manager is responsible for all business operations of an assigned store location. By applying individual judgement and autonomy, this position will provide excellent customer service, maximize the sales/gross profit, and ensure the store location is organized, secure, and well maintained. The Store Manager is also responsible for the daily direction and on-the-job training of Store Manager Trainees and Assistant Store Managers, if applicable. Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesSales ManagementUse knowledge and judgment to diagnose customers fluid connectorissues.Formulate solutions to recommend suitable productsolutions.Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive professionalrelationships.Provide the appropriate products and fabricate hoseassemblies.Resolve customer service problems andcomplaints.Develop outside quotes and sales orders for Outside Salesteam.Manage cash and paymentsystems.Marketing ManagementCreate customer awareness and promote the entire fluid connector productoffering.Devise strategies with product layout so it maximizes sales, improves customer traffic flow, creates a better appearance and customer satisfactionSeek, continuously develop, and record knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing, and tactics; Formulate strategies for buildingsales.Customer Account ManagementUse autonomy to build relationships with prospective and establishedcustomers.Collaborate closely with Outside Sales team to provide relevant customer information and sales leadsActively engage in customer capture programsEnsure that intellectual property is confidential, maintained, andsecure.Inventory ManagementEvaluate and manage store inventory by reviewing historical salesdata.Use discretion to maintain and augment the appropriate stock levels of thestore.Use judgment to stock, carry, increase, decrease and expand product offerings as needed for stores uniqueterritory.Use judgment to determine appropriate timing, method, and vendor to procureproducts.Use daily store reporting to manage open sales and counter orders, POs, and held invoices.Provide cycle count information to correctdepartment.Handle receiving, shipping, and stocking ofinventory.Operations and Facility ManagementPerform all routine tasks to open and close the storelocation.Complete annual store audits in partnership with RSMControl, maintain and provide security to all facilityassets.Ensure that the facility is kept organized, clean, and wellmaintained.Identify facility issues and handle with appropriate solution or notify RSM, asrequired.Personnel ManagementTrain, supervise, and delegate tasks to Store Manager Trainees and Assistant Store Managers, if applicableRecommend specific appropriate training needed for Store Manager Trainees Provide performance feedback to Regional Support Managers of Store Manager Trainees and Assistant Store ManagersQualifications and SkillsMinimum of 2 years of excellent customer service and management experienceComplete and maintain Parker Store Professionalcertification.Have good business acumen to interpret needs and formulate appropriate operatingpractices.Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and independently, possess proficient organizationalskills.Possess proficient oral & written communicationskills.Have a mechanical aptitude to diagnose and understand complexissues.Be results oriented with a desire tosucceed.Possess proficient math skills and can apply metrics & metricequivalents.Ability to read & interpret documents such as product manuals, purchase orders & proceduremanuals.High School graduate or equivalent educationrequired.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift, push & pull up to150lbs.Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, andclimb.Manual dexterity required to operate machinery andtools.Work EnvironmentWork performed in a workshopenvironment.Routinely uses standard office equipment (i.e.: computers, phones, fax machines) as well as hand and power tools (i.e.: hose saws, pliers, box cutters, tape measure, and crimping machine)Exposed to several elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable (i.e.: noise from equipment and occasional odor that comes from cutting rubber hose)This position cannot be performed remotely. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesMay need to supervise, delegate work, and train Store Manager Trainees or Assistant Store Managers, as assigned.
