Here at BrightStar Care of Madison, we are seeking a Caregiver field specialist This role is a guaranteed 40 hrs/week. In addition, you will have the chance to accrue PTO. You will work with our clients throughout our service area and come to work in our office when not scheduled with clients. A few of the most important qualities for someone in this role would be dependable, adaptable, positive attitude, and strong communicator. Schedules may change daily (within your guaranteed availability) as the main objective of this role is to make sure all client shifts are covered.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, and taking and recording vital signs.
  • Providing care according to the patient's plan of care, assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping.

What is required to join our team: The Caregiver Field Specialist will be expected to go to all assigned shifts in any location within BrightStar Care of (location). This is a crucial role for our business to maintain quality coverage for our clients. Caregivers in this role are often identified as our top performers and not only provide high quality and dependable care for our clients, as well as support to our office duties, and compassionate and friendly customer service to our clients, nursing, and office staff. All employees in this role must be fully prepared to provide all types of care, including but not limited to:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience
  • Must be at least 18 yrs. or older
  • Companionship
  • Transportation
  • Personal Care (toileting, showering, bed baths, etc.) for both males and females
  • Working around cats AND dogs
  • Transfers
  • Hoyer Lifts/EZ Stands
  • Able to travel within the territory
  • Vehicle with current auto insurance and drivers license
  • Empathy for the needs of the client
  • Alzheimer's and dementia experience

Caregiver Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Has reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization’s requirements.
  • Willing to travel anywhere within the location’s service area.
  • Ability to adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.
