Rehabilitation Services Specialist I – 10 hrs/weekMomentum for Health is hiring a part‑time Rehabilitation Services Specialist I to provide mental health rehabilitation and case management services during the weekend. The position requires a strong background in behavioral health, community integration, and client support.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide individual and group mental health rehabilitation counseling and facilitate life skills, coping, and independent living skills.Assess clients’ independent living skills, evaluate therapeutic stability, and develop and update individualized treatment plans according to agency guidelines.Coordinate and conduct community integration activities, including field and periodic outings, to promote community participation and housing, education, and employment opportunities.Provide crisis intervention, including medication monitoring, risk assessment, and involuntary detentions (5150 holds) when clients are unstable or a danger to self or others.Coordinate case management services with community resources, referral to therapists, probation agents, courts, and outside agencies, and provide family education and support.Organize, prepare, and serve meals and maintain kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices for agency residential facilities and support healthy nutrition for clients.Maintain complete clinical and administrative records, ensuring compliance with agency, payor, and regulatory requirements; track due dates for paperwork and support timely billing.Provide transportation of clients and supplies in personal or agency vehicles, and perform first aid in emergency situations as required.Attend staff, program, community meetings, trainings, and coordinate events as needed; interface with staff, clients, and visitors in an unobtrusive manner.QualificationsMaster’s degree in a mental health‑related field and two years full‑time experience in mental health, or Bachelor’s degree and four years full‑time experience, or Associate’s degree and six years full‑time experience.First Aid certification within 30 days of hire (essential); certification for other Agency locations (desired).Certification in writing 5150 holds or obtain within six months of hire (essential).Experience in purchasing, kitchen operations, menu development, cooking techniques, safe food storage, and kitchen sanitation practices (essential).Demonstrated ability to work independently, engage effectively with clients and staff, manage multiple tasks, exercise good judgment, and act calmly in emergency situations (essential).Knowledge of community resources, mental health services Act (MHSA), and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) (essential).Valid California driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current auto liability insurance, and clean DMV record with eligibility for Class B license (essential).Physical requirements: standing, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs., repetitive motion, and ability to assist in emergency evacuations (essential).Compensation and Shift DifferentialsHourly rate Step 1: $34.21/hr; Step 6: $37.77/hr, according to SEIU Local 521 Collective Bargaining Agreement.Shift differentials: 6% for overnight (11 pm–7 am); 4.5% for evening (5:30 pm–10:59 pm); 4.5% for weekend shifts (12:01 am Saturday–11:59 pm Sunday).Seniority LevelEntry level – part‑timeEmployment TypePart‑time #J-18808-Ljbffr
