Help patients schedule ancillary services at checkout or connect them to resources for scheduling, facilitating comprehensive care. Utilize service recovery principles to address and rectify any service issues, ensuring alignment with the UPMC Experience standards. Educate patients about their financial responsibilities and connect them with advocacy resources for assistance as needed. Confirm insurance benefits, collect copayments and other payments, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for consent and financial responsibility, while promoting the MyUPMC patient portal and assisting with registration.
