(Remote Position) As a Claims Adjustor you will: Contact the employer and medical provider or Nurse Case Manager upon receipt of claim to confirm/secure details of Workers' Compensation claim. Contact employees where required. Provide timely and accurate information to employer. Determine if the claim is compensable in accordance with the applicable legal jurisdiction. Complete all state required forms pursuant to applicable jurisdiction requirements. Identify the treating physician to confirm the nature and extent of the injury. Refer to treating physicians in connection with or in lieu of Nurse Case Manager. Oversee medical treatment and communications to employer. Set appropriate reserves to pay medical treatment on accepted claims. Prepare and provide medical bills for repricing to the approved MCO (Managed Care Organization) vendor, where applicable. Obtain approval for medical treatment payment consistent with client protocols. Accurately and efficiently pay medical bills related to claim. Maintain appropriate Medical Only diary, pursuant to our Best Practices. Perform other duties as required. This is a full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Confidentiality - Possesses a high level and regard for confidentiality. Judgment - Forms an opinion objectively and with discretion. Problem Solving - Evaluates information and situations, approaching and resolving in a timely manner.
