Main Responsibilities
Key Functions & Responsibilities of the Electronics Buyer
Ensure optimal supply chain performance for electronic components.
Meet stringent requirements for cost, quality, and delivery.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFQs and technical reviews.
Select and manage a robust supplier base.
Negotiate favorable contracts and ensure compliance.
Cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers.
Address commercial issues and drive cost reduction initiatives.
Monitor market trends and identify optimization opportunities.
Develop and execute localization strategies to increase regional content.
Establish and manage annual material budgets.
Conduct regular budget analysis.
Track spending and identify cost-saving measures.
Required Education, Skills & Experience of the Electronics Buyer
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive electronics industry, preferably in purchasing direct materials.
Proven technical expertise in PCBs, PCBAs, electronics hardware, semiconductors, or ECUs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering documents.
Strong knowledge of purchasing strategies and best practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 15%.
