Informatics Success Specialist – Illumina The Informatics Success Specialist serves as a trusted advisor post‑sale, ensuring that customers achieve maximum value from Illumina’s Sequencing and Array Informatics solutions. The role partners with clients—research, biotech, and healthcare—to guide them through the software adoption cycle, providing insights, metrics, and guidance to achieve full utilization of Illumina’s Enterprise Software Stack. Position Responsibilities Serve as the primary post‑sale point of contact for enterprise software clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Drive revenue through renewal of software licenses, usage growth, and additional adoption. Collaborate with Informatics Sales Specialists and cross‑functional resources to ensure maintenance, usage growth, upselling, and cross‑selling. Monitor account health and metrics, identifying risks and opportunities for growth and aligning goals with customers. Track success metrics, prepare quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and present ROI to executive stakeholders to reduce churn. Communicate client feedback to Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to influence product roadmap. Develop, coordinate, and sometimes conduct both basic and advanced informatics presentations and seminars, including creative demos and proof‑of‑concept work. Provide Voice of Customer input to development and marketing teams. Develop and manage an active sales pipeline for renewal, usage growth, and expansion opportunities. Position Requirements 2+ years of relevant experience in software sales, customer success, and/or project management. Scientific background, especially in molecular biology; experience selling and supporting commercial software is a plus. Demonstrated written and verbal communication and training skills. Outstanding problem‑solving and interpersonal skills. Clear vision and commitment to outstanding customer service. Ability to collaborate effectively in a highly matrixed sales organization. Preferred Experience / Education / Skills Minimum of 2+ years of related experience with a science degree in Bioinformatics, Clinical Data Analysis, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry. Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD is a plus. Location This is a remote role with periodic travel. Candidates are ideally located within the U.S. South sub‑region but may be within one time‑zone difference from EST. Relocation package is not included. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $80,900 – $121,300. Eligible for variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and, for appropriate roles, equity as part of the compensation package.
