Our client is a mining firm and due to tremendous growth of the company, there is now an opportunity for an experienced mining professional to work in a FIFO situation (14/7 schedule)


We have been retained to a talented individual, where the company will facilitate the whole Visa process to work in South America (but USA based).


Duties Include:


  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of Project Management Plans for mining operation for mine operation
  • Participate in audit and review programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Continually evaluate, review and determine the most appropriate use of mining methodologies for best project performance
  • Assist in the establishment of project objectives
  • Maintain a preventive and contingent approach to project planning
  • Plan, maintain and monitor a Mine Operation plan and program encompassing all procurement, operation and completion activities involved in the project
  • Provide engineering and technical support to management
  • Plan, lead, organize and control project resources to ensure the requirements and project objectives are met on an ongoing basis.


Candidates Should Possess:


  • Must have at least 8-10 years plus mine experience within the mining or resources sector in surface/open pit mining
  • Supervision of staff in the past
  • Strong planning, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • 4-year degree in engineering (mining, geology or related preferred)
  • Commitment to excellence in safety and environmental management
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively with operations personnel and senior management
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Comfortable to work a 2 week on/1 week off schedule.


This is a wonderful opportunity for an engineer with a strong mining background, who would be interested in gaining international experience working in a FIFO situation from USA (you can be based anywhere in the USA, as long as you are near a large/medium sized city).
