This position will oversee the daily processing of the general ledger, among other responsibilities.About YouYou are excited about the media industry and how your finance expertise contributes to the overall business. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing and uploading journal entriesPrepare and maintain monthly recurring entriesPrepare various general ledger account analyses by reviewing transactions within the general ledger to ensure accurate activity within the accountAbility to interpret and understand contracts.Responsible for the accounting for specialized contractual obligations.Assist in preparation of the Quarterly Flux analysis bookAssist in gathering support for the internal/external audit requestsSupport ad hoc projects/system implementationYOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)BS/BA in accounting is required.Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plusSolid knowledge of GAAP and regulationsExcellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)TelevisaUnivision believes that happy, well-balanced employees are key to a thriving culture.
