Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Health Department Manager, the Registered Nurse-TEAM Lead will utilize the nursing process to assess the health of clients needing assistance in the areas of Preventive Health, and Immunizations. All services are maintained confidential and documented under the care and or services per the agency's policies and procedures.
Supervision:
* Supervise and instruct Preventive Health (PH), and Immunization (IZ) team members.
* Review direct report's working, and leave request within the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) time, and attendance weekly.
* Review staff's annual employee Performance Management System (EPMS) in (SCEIS) to provide regular feedback and appraisals.
* Perform and maintain all audit and training records.
Preventive Health Services
* Obtain an appropriate history and risk assessment per program policy, perform physical exams on males and females per program policy, obtaining appropriate stat lab, including pregnancy test and referred lab per program.
* Provide follow-up per program guidelines to include: teen follow-up, abnormal Pap Smear follow-up, positive laboratory test follow-up, referral follow-up, maintain confidentiality, documents of care services, per agency policies and procedures.
* Introduce risk-based education to include the prevention of Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STD) and Sexual Transmitted Infections (STI).
* Reproductive health planning, methods of birth control benefits. Refer as indicated for abnormal findings, mental health, tobacco cessation, substance abuse, etc.
* Position may require standing for long periods of time and periodic lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
* May be required to work evenings (after 5pm) and/or Saturday clinics; may have to travel to other sites within the Region.
Emergency Preparedness
* Participate in Emergency Preparedness and Response to assist with Medical Needs Shelter (MNS) operations.Maintain supportive nursing practice competencies to include, but not limited to:
* Intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal best practice injection administration, oral medication administration.
* Client emergency response including First Aid,Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: Licensure as a registered nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements: An Associates Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina or a compact state; CPR certification required within the first 30 days and must maintain competency.
Preferred Qualifications
* Nursing Experience.
* Supervisory experience.
* Proficieni in utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) and a strong understanding of their functionalities.
Additional Comments
Driving Record: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
