Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Disease Prevention Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring infection control measures across our healthcare network, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and reporting of nosocomial infections, investigating clusters and outbreaks as needed
- Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to develop and implement effective infection control policies and procedures
- Analyze and distribute monthly and quarterly surveillance data to inform infection control strategies
- Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in infection control, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in acute care nursing, epidemiology, or infection prevention and control
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) required
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
