Deacon Construction, LLC | Construction Estimator

Deacon Construction is looking for an Estimator in our Portland, OR, office with experience in conceptual estimates, negotiated work, competitive bidding, etc. Experience should be on projects valued from $2 - $25 million in commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and multifamily construction (new and renovations).
This position requires thorough knowledge of all construction divisions, means, and methods to generate accurate scope and pricing based on limited information. The ability to manage a workload of multiple estimates and participation in GC/subcontractor project walks is required. Candidates should be self-starting and highly motivated, with the capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The best candidates will be detailed and organized team players with demonstrated delivery in high-pressure situations. Excellent growth potential & benefits.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience Estimating within Commercial Construction
- Onsite Field Experience desired
- Bachelor’s Degree (Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Business preferred)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project scheduling software knowledge
- On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, SmartBid, or similar bid management software
