As a 100% employee-owned company, we offer more than just a paycheck: we offer ownership, industry-leading benefits, and a supportive culture rooted in shared success.Job OverviewWe are actively seeking a seasoned Superintendent with federal project experience to lead field operations on projects governed by federal agencies such as NAVFAC, USACE, or similar. You will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards.From preconstruction through final handoff, you’ll manage field crews, drive schedules, ensure quality, and uphold Absher’s high standards of performance on complex, mission-critical projects.What You’ll DoLead all field operations on federal construction sites—from mobilization to close-outEnforce and monitor compliance with EM-385-1-1 standards, safety protocols, and project-specific QC plansCoordinate site activities with Project Managers, trade partners, federal inspectors, and subcontractorsMaintain detailed daily reports, quality control logs, and safety documentation as required by federal contractsManage and mentor field labor teams, ensuring performance, professionalism, and moraleDrive project schedules and adjust look-aheads to stay on time and within budgetServe as the primary point of contact for on-site federal client representatives (NAVFAC/USACE)Conduct preparatory and initial inspections in collaboration with project QC and safety staffWhy You’ll Be SuccessfulYou bring 10+ years of field experience on federal projects, a deep understanding of government construction requirements, and the confidence to lead in dynamic environments. You\'ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to doing things right—especially when no one is watching.Minimum Qualifications10+ years of field leadership experience on federal construction projectsDirect experience with NAVFAC, USACE (Army Corps of Engineers), or other federal agenciesStrong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and government safety/quality protocolsFamiliarity with government contract documentation, submittals, and reporting proceduresProficiency in field management software (e.g., Procore, P6 preferred)OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR required; EM 385-1-1 Certification strongly preferredStrong communication skills and experience interacting with federal clients and inspectorsCommitment to mentoring, inclusion, and safetyWhy You’ll Love Absher’s CultureBuild Security – As an employee-owned company, everyone at Absher shares in the success.
