Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the HR department, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services and strategies across the organization.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with organizational goals and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and talent development programs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with union representatives, managing labor relations and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support organizational growth, culture, and employee engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on HR-related matters, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage HR resources, including budgeting, staffing, and technology, to optimize department efficiency.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in human resources, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Strong union experience is required.

Nice-To-Haves:

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment is a plus.
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.
