Position Purpose
Registered Nurse – Infection Preventionist provides administrative, surveillance and consultative work in planning, developing, co-ordinating and administering an Infection Control Program. What you will do:
*** $20,000 Sign on Bonus ***
- Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served, as defined in the scope of service for the Nurse Epidemiologist s area of practice.
- Evaluates and monitors quality of patient care related to Infection Control.
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
- Performs hospital wide surveillance activities.
- Initiates and participates in related patient care activities.
- Evaluates and monitors quality of patient care related to Infection Control.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of school of nursing is required.
- Certification in Infection Control preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years prior Infection Control experience in an acute care facility is
- necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary.
- Licensure:
* Licensed RN in the State of Florida is required. Bachelors of Nursing is preferred. (BSN)
