About CookUnity CookUnity is a chef-to-you marketplace connecting talented chefs with consumers, revolutionizing meal delivery. We bring small-batch, restaurant-quality meals to eaters nationwide, crafted by a diverse collective of all-star chefs. With over 100 inspired chefs from cities like NYC, LA, Austin, and more, our weekly subscription offers a wide range of hand-crafted meals to cater to various palates and dietary preferences. By delivering over 1 million meals per month, we're also empowering working chefs, tripling their income, and supporting their growth. CookUnity believes in fueling stronger communities, partnering with Food Bank For New York City to combat food insecurity across all five boroughs. About the Growth Team The Growth Marketing Team leads CookUnity's mission to acquire new customers, deliver an exceptional experience that converts them, and reactivate former and lapsed customers across a variety of channels. Our ambitions extend far beyond expanding audiences, increasing traffic, and improving conversion rates while keeping CAC low. We're here to tell an extraordinary chef-driven story and introduce a must-taste product to the world. About the Role: Our ideal candidate will lead a product-led growth strategy to scale customer acquisition by leveraging both digital and offline experiences. As the Sr. Director of Growth Product, you will be responsible for driving user acquisition and activation across CookUnity’s key customer segments by creating product-driven growth loops that naturally integrate into the user experience, ensuring efficient CACs, optimal onboarding experience and high customer retention. In this role, you will harness data and insights to fuel growth, developing a roadmap rooted in user behavior, engagement, and product interactions. You will oversee a cross-functional team, encompassing first impressions, funnel, and activation. The focus will be on scaling product adoption by integrating growth tactics directly into the customer journey and iterating quickly through experimentation. CookUnity’s unique value proposition—high-quality, chef-driven meals with unmatched variety—will serve as a foundation for your growth efforts. You'll create and optimize marketing funnels that are tightly aligned with product features and customer segments, engaging food enthusiasts who are seeking a superior dining experience. Through experimentation frameworks, you will drive supply-demand optimization, testing different content approaches and crafting numerous personalized landing pages to meet the needs of diverse customer groups. Your customer-centric mindset will allow you to translate marketing performance data into actionable insights, driving continuous product improvements and growth. This role reports directly to the SVP of Growth and requires close collaboration with teams across CRM, Performance Creative, Branding, and cross-functional partnerships with Product, Tech, and Design. Responsibilities: Lead a product-led growth strategy to scale customer acquisition, focusing on landing optimization, funnel building, and onboarding new trial customers. Strategically guide new customers from their first interaction through their first delivery, driving conversion and loyalty. Optimize the entire customer journey, focusing on seamless and personalized experiences that showcase the value of CookUnity's chef-driven meals. Shape and execute performance marketing strategies that prioritize customer experience and long-term growth, rather than solely focusing on acquisition. Design, manage, and optimize landing pages and conversion funnels to drive higher engagement and onboarding success. Develop and implement onboarding processes that guide trial users through a smooth first delivery, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention. Use data-driven insights to create experimentation frameworks that continuously refine product adoption and customer engagement. Manage budgets efficiently to drive sustainable, high-quality growth, ensuring a balance between customer acquisition and long-term value. Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing in-house team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Collaborate closely with CRM, Product, Tech, and Design teams to ensure marketing efforts align with the broader product vision, enhancing CookUnity’s market position as the leading chef-to-you food solution.
