Facilities Engineer

You will primarily be responsible for planning factory projects, managing contractors, maintaining equipment, and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute various projects with limited supervision.
Perform assigned day-to-day repairs/improvements, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance on production and support equipment.
Become familiar with all production equipment and respond quickly to equipment issues.
Respond quickly to emergency repair requests.
Assist with production floor layout changes and coordinate associated services.
Work with managers and supervisors to solve basic production support issues.
Understand and follow 5S continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field or Technical School Diploma Specific trade such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC with 10 years of industry experience.
Must have excellent verbal and writing skills.
Ability to effectively interact with outside contractors.
Must have some experience with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.
Ability to read circuitry, wiring diagrams, schematics, and operations of electrical and mechanical systems.
Must be highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work with good judgement.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must work well with others and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands.
Physical capability of walking up and down stairs and ladders, working on your feet for hours at a time
Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Previous facilities maintenance experience preferred.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
