The role of a Product Development/Quality Control Coordinator is to ensure that our new and existing products meet Envy Wigs' standards. This involves daily communication with our factories, detailed inspections of inbound and outbound shipments, auditing stock as needed, and reviewing all aspects of the items. The Coordinator must be able to identify and escalate potential issues and have the expertise to restyle, repair, or repackage items accordingly.


Product Development

  • Coordinate sample management and communicate daily with factories. Responsible for the management of master specifications sheets and tracking changes
  • Follow up with factories to ensure projects are timely
  • Participate in cross-departmental training for new product innovation details
  • Schedule, take notes, and allocate action items during factory calls
  • Accountable for tracking, organizing, and coordinating product development samples
  • Request changes to factories regarding sample and product changes
  • Responsible for meeting calendar deadlines


Quality Control

  • Prioritize inbound shipments, launch, and replenishment styles for quality control to ensure the products meet quality standards
  • Use the quality control template to document audit results and control samples of products
  • Execute quality control audits on products as per direction
  • Restyle and repackage products.
  • Process & inspect returns as per direction by reviewing, restyling, repackaging, and receiving them into the accounting system.


Experience:

One or more years in a Quality Control/Assurance role

Customer Service experience preferred

Experience in the hair industry is preferred


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Great attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to manage time effectively.
  • The ability to think critically, problem-solve, and identify when to escalate issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A critical thinker with the ability to solve problems
  • Familiarity with hairstyling


Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
