ABOUT THE POSITION:
Allora is looking for a Prep Cook who can accurately and efficiently execute multiple recipes, butcher/portion a variety of proteins, perform a full-scale bread/pasta production, and assist with the pastry program as needed. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our success within each shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following.
- Follow daily prep list and prepare each task in a timely manner with a sense of urgency.
- Read, understand, and execute recipes.
- Maintaining prep standards.
- Follow instruction from executive, sous chef, pastry chef, and lead prep cook.
- Maintain a clean prep kitchen (for example: detail equipment, wipe down stations at end of shift, etc).
- Label and conduct FIFO correctly.
- Receive, check in, and put away orders while maintaining and organizing clean coolers and storage spaces.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, including HACCP.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
- Perform a monthly inventory of the prep kitchen.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in proficiency and skill.
- Passion for creating high quality food.
- Ability to take direction, work cooperatively with others, and excel in a high-pressure environment.
