OverviewThe Mountain Operations IT Analyst is responsible for supporting a portfolio of applications utilized by our mountain operations business unit. They will focus on improving operational efficiency and end user experience through enhancing existing systems and implementing new technology solutions. They will work with teams such as Food and Beverage, Guest Services, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, Lift/Vehicle Maintenance and Snowmaking. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Mountain Ops Technology.The budgeted salary range for this position is $73,000 - $100,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.Applications for this position will be accepted until December 10, 2025.Essential Job Functions / Key Job ResponsibilitiesWork across Mountain Operations, Ski Patrol, Guest Services, Lift Operations, Lift/Vehicle Maintenance, Snowmaking, Food and Beverage and IT to define and prioritize a backlog that continuously delivers measurable value towards business goalsTake initiative in understanding business needs, evaluate opportunities to enhance existing systems, participate in vendor selection processes and implement new applicationsWork with the mountain operations teams to document functional requirements and translate those requirements into technical design specificationsWork with engineering teams to estimate work, make smart tradeoffs, define milestones and deliver new capabilitiesLiaison between internal stakeholders and various application vendors for troubleshooting, ticket management, releases, and roadmapsConfigure new applications to align with business requirements and be responsible for developing and executing robust test plansEnsure issues uncovered during the testing cycle are prioritized, communicated and resolved in a timely manner to ensure implementation timelines are metProvide documentation and training for IT Help Desk staff, so that IT Help Desk staff may assist in supporting the solutions on an on-going basisDevelop and deliver ad hoc user queries and reportsResponsible for ongoing configuration, custom reporting, testing, integrations, and daily support for mountain operations applicationsOther duties as assignedQualificationsDegree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology or associated field required2+ years effectively managing multiple tasks and projects, with a demonstrated ability to identify and communicate issues that may inhibit successful project completion2+ years supporting or implementing commercial software applicationsSki area operations experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficient knowledge in business process analysis and writing functional/technical requirementsProficient knowledge in creating test plans, executing test plans and providing feedback to development teams for resolving defectsProficient knowledge of software delivery methodologyExperience documenting standard operating proceduresAbility to work independently with minimal supervision, completing work at a high standardExpert skier or snowboarder with the ability to transport equipment through expert terrainProficient knowledge in working with matrixed teams and vendor partners preferredExcellent complex problem solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent verbal and communication skillsAbility to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others\' views; gives and welcomes feedbackAbility to maintain commitments; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate planAbility to partner with cross-functional teams spanning business and technical sides of the organizationWork Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movementsMay be required to work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel / equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfacesNot required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistanceJob BenefitsThis position is classified as a regular full-time position eligible for the following benefits:Enrollment dates differ across the various programs.Health, Dental and Vision Insurance ProgramsFlexible Spending Account ProgramsLife Insurance ProgramsPaid Time Off ProgramsPaid Leave Programs401(k) Savings PlanEmployee Ski Pass and Dependent Ski PassesOther company perksThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
