Company Overview Aspen Hospitality, a division of Aspen One, develops, owns, and operates a growing portfolio of luxury and upper‑scale hotels, private clubs, and branded residential properties under The Nell and Limelight brands. The portfolio includes The Little Nell, Aspen’s only Five‑Star, Five‑Diamond ski‑in/ski‑out hotel, its affiliated Residences at the base of Aspen Mountain, and a new Nell property in development at Rockefeller Center in New York City. Limelight hotels are located across Colorado, Idaho, and will open additional sites in Boulder, Colorado and Mammoth, California in 2025. Position Summary The Expediter coordinates the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring dishes are prepared correctly, timed appropriately, and delivered to the correct table. Acting as the bridge between the kitchen and servers, the Expediter guarantees a successful service and reports to the Chef de Cuisine. Essential Job Functions / Key Responsibilities Facilitate a timely and smooth service by ensuring efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the servers. Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority. Assist in the final preparation of dishes. Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature. Deliver orders to maintain fast service. Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning. Assist all team members in organization of kitchen items, including dry goods, equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and proper rotation and organization of all food deliveries. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. One‑year related experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of quality and sanitation standards. Understanding of health and safety rules and guidelines. Ability to use kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays. Ability to handle complaints from guests to preserve the restaurant’s reputation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Team‑player mentality. Effective communication in English. Ability to transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g., when a customer has a particular request). Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods. Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periods; may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces. Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary, but no more than 50 lbs).
