We are seeking primarily industry professionals to teach and share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields.DeVry University’s College of Engineering & Information Sciences offers certificate and degree programs focused on innovation and practical application to help students begin their careers or prepare for professional positions with greater responsibility and reward.This position is a part-time faculty role in the networking domain supporting students enrolled in the dual degree program at the DeVry University Advantage Academy. This innovative two-year program is designed for students entering their junior year where they graduate with both a Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high school diploma and an associate degree from DeVry University.ResponsibilitiesCourse delivery twice a week for eight weeks to dual degree students on-site at Chicago campus during the daytime.Provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template which includes the terminal course objectives.Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.Model effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.Completes other duties as assigned.DeVry University does not guarantee any specific number of work hours or assignments, which may vary based on the University’s needs and discretion.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
